Summer. As France closes out her summer holidays, I thought a quick look through our summer photo album might give you a visual snapshot of the sights and sounds of the Occitanie region of France. Even though summers here are hot and dry, summer life continues to thrive!
Weekly Bandido games will take place between the white Camargue horses and the infamous taureaux. One can watch or even choose to participate in a variety of games found in almost every village.
Pétanque games are played in the local boulodromes or just about anywhere dirt can be found.
Local town fêtes in our area often involve Flamenco dancing and mariachi bands.
All these festivities, just like where you live, are always centered around the local delicacies. In Occitanie, people come to enjoy the fresh oysters, mussels, paella, & the highly sought after local wines that were, in fact, found in the wine cellar of the US President, Thomas Jefferson.
Summer. It looks different all around the world. But the summer of 2022 was one filled with great global celebration no matter where you might live.
